Our new and exciting lodge called the Farm is situated across the road from our existing farm Ruigtevlei.
Perfect for an active group, ready for a weekend filled with fun, or a family who loves and enjoys nature at its best!
The main venue sleeps 26 guests in total in dorm rooms with bunk beds.
There is a big open plan living/entertainment area where guests can relax on the comfy couches, cook up a feast in our amazing kitchen or tackle each other in a game of pool, we also have a fire fuelled hot tub outside for guests to enjoy .
The Lodge also boasts an inside and outside braai – We are South African after all… –
Check in is 2pm-6pm and check out is 10 am , early check in or late check out can be arranged with Kate if done so prior to arrival via email and a R250 fee will be charged .
We also have 5 campsites available on the property with shared ablutions , please note there are no electrical points, guests to bring all their own camping gear .
On the farm, close to the lodge there is a beautiful dam where fishing on a catch and release basis is permitted.
The dam can also be used for non- motorised water sports!
Dirt bikes are allowed on the farm as well.
By prior arrangement we can organise a spitbraai meal and clay pigeon shooting as well.

The generator will be switched on between 18h00 and 23h00. There will be fee of R100p/h charged outside of these hours. Our fridge & stove operate on gas . ( lodge only , not campsites)
R500 refundable breakage deposit ( Lodge only )
Campsites R395-00 per night ( 4 pax) : shade available as well as shared ablution block

Take the N1, out of Cape Town, heading in the direction of Paarl.
Take the Stellenbosch/ Wellington off ramp, turn left in the direction of Wellington (R44).
Drive straight with the R44 into Wellington. At the first traffic light in Wellington turn left, sign reads R44 Porterville.
Drive straight for approximately 45km, passing Hermon. You will then get a turn-off to the left, sign reads R44 Gouda/ Porterville.
Turn left and drive for approximately 11km heading in the direction of Porterville.
You will see the Buffalo Drift sign board on the left hand side of the road, come through the gates and follow the signs to the Lodge Office.
This drive should take no longer than 1 hr and 10 min.
