About Us:

Buffalo Drift was started by 2 born and bred South Africans, namely, Jared Jager and Joy Millar. They shared a vision of a place where kids, friends, families, school groups, corporates and teams of all shapes and sizes can getaway with all their recreational fantasies met in a beautiful, safe and clean outdoor environment.
		Jared Jager: Jared was born in Johannesburg and attended school at Eden College where he matriculated. After school Jared travelled overseas, working as a life guard and wakeboard instructor at American Summercamps, during the summer. He returned to South Africa in 2003 and studied Nature Conservation at Cape Technikon afterwhich he worked for South African National Parks. At Addo Elephant National Parks, Jared got involved in the Game Lodge industry for a couple of years and then decided to start farming for himself in the Western Cape. Jared enjoys the outdoor lifestyle and daily challenges that farming, his family farm, provides. Joy Millar: Joy was born in Cape Town and attended school in the Southern Suburbs, spending most of her childhood holidays on the family farm.  Joy has a background in children’s entertainment, business management and Commercial Property, she is the Owner of Bootcamp SA – Cape Town, which facilitates Children’s parties, school leadership programs and Corporate Team Building. Like Jared, Joy has travelled and worked at a Summer-camp in North Carolina in the USA teaching Horse riding, Sports, Magic and various other activities. She shares Jared’s passion for the outdoors, music and spending time with family and friends.
